Ammon is a modernist Arabic typeface with low contrast and high legibility, inspired by the urban geometries of the Jordanian capital, Amman; home of eyen design. Ammon, named after Amman's ancient name, lends itself as an expressive, neat, and space-saving headline typeface, but also code-switches to be a strong contender for captions and smaller print runs.
With an inherent flair for design, this typeface acts as a confident communicator when paired alongside Arab creations. Almost monolinear without claims of calligraphic ancestors, it does, however, feature the structural sensibilities of geometric Kufic in its genetic pool with wonderful stacking ability due to its shortened descenders and ascenders—all with a sober baseline. It works beautifully with Lineto's LL Brown typeface (in Bold) or any geometric sans serifs of your liking.
