Khalaya is an industrial geometric font with two variable axes: one for weight and the other for corner curvature. The name 'Khalaya' means 'cells,' reflecting the font’s design, which is based on building blocks and the connections between them, resembling the structure of cells. Its inspiration comes from Latin posters and typefaces that have no Arabic counterpart. Taking on this challenge, we developed Khalaya while maintaining the foundation of Arabic Naskh calligraphy, ensuring the typeface achieves optimal readability.
